This pattern allows you to create a 20 inch x 20 inch (50cm x 50cm) tifaifai and, once downloaded, can be printed at home.

Though you may machine stitch the design, the instructions will be detailing how to hand sew it in the traditional manner.

The colors in the image are theoretical. You can personalize the design by choosing the colors when you purchase your fabrics.

As to the representation of the pattern, this one is called “Aute”. It is the Tahitian word for the hibiscus flower. It can be all sorts of colors and is often found in our gardens here in French Polynesia.
