MEET THE TEAM

Rava

After receiving her degree in fashion design from Parsons The New School in New York City, Rava learned the art of tifaifai. In Moorea, French Polynesia she began holding tifaifai workshops and creating unique tifaifai designs, even incorporating the art form into custom gowns. She now runs her business from home, collaborates with brands on designs, and continues to create one of a kind tifaifai dresses.

Tahia

Tahia grew up on Tahiti where her grandmother sewed tifaifai before she was even born. Her interest in the art form came later in life when she met Rava and realized she could help perpetuate this part of her heritage. She now assist in all parts of the business, from brainstorming, to basting, and even sewing!

Marianne

Marianne is Rava’s mother. She taught Rava everything she knows about sewing and is the reason why she pursued a career in design. Surprisingly, Marianne didn’t learn how to make tifaifai until her daughter taught her! Now she splits her time between being a grandmother and helping fulfill orders for the family business.
